Job Description

Quality Engineer Location:
(Prichard, WV)
Compensation:
$70,000-$100,000
Benefits:
Health, Dental, Vision Our client is seeking a Quality Engineer to support manufacturing quality, customer requirements, and continuous improvement within an automotive production environment.
What You'll Do:
Support APQP project teams for successful product launches Serve as the customer liaison for quality-related concerns Manage customer portals, scorecards, and improvement plans Create and maintain control plans, inspection instructions, capability studies, and gage R&R documentation Manage PPAP submissions Lead 8D corrective action plans Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards are met Apply AIAG core tools including APQP, FMEA, MSA, PPAP, and SPC Support supplier quality performance and corrective actions Maintain compliance with
QMS, IATF
16949, and customer-specific requirements Participate in audits and support continuous improvement initiatives
What You Bring:
Bachelor's degree in a technical field or 3+ years of relevant experience Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Knowledge of quality standards and regulatory requirements Strong communication and writing abilities Microsoft Office and Outlook experience Ability to multitask and complete tasks within required timelines Strong attention to detail and team-focused mindset
Work Environment:
Reports to the Quality Manager Works closely with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, and Supply Chain Interfaces with customers and suppliers on quality concerns Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 20 lbs regularly
