FULL DESCRIPTION
The Quality Engineer will lead initiatives to improve customer satisfaction by reducing internal nonconformances, preventing customer returns, and strengthening quality processes. This position will apply continuous improvement and Six Sigma methodologies, support corrective and preventive action programs, conduct audits, and help develop quality personnel through training and mentorship. The selected candidate will be responsible for: Applying advanced quality and Six Sigma methodologies to reduce nonconformances and prevent customer returns Developing and maintaining corrective and preventive action programs focused on reducing scrap and rework Supporting the development and delivery of training for operators and inspectors Mentoring quality engineering and quality assurance personnel Facilitating customer returns through the material review process Conducting internal audits and following up on corrective actions in accordance with internal and customer quality requirements Supporting customer representatives during quality audits and responding to corrective action requests Evaluating and selecting product inspection and testing equipment Developing and updating quality procedures and work instructions Training appropriate personnel on quality procedures, requirements, and processes Performing other duties as assigned The selected candidate will also possess: Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related STEM discipline 3+ years of manufacturing quality engineering experience Working knowledge of AS9100 and quality assurance standards Demonstrated experience analyzing and resolving part and process issues Ability to interpret contractual, technical, and specification requirements Aerospace, elastomer, or plastics manufacturing experience preferred ASQ Quality Engineer, Quality Auditor, Quality Manager, Lean, or Six Sigma certification preferred Bilingual English and Spanish communication skills preferred Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English Ability to work effectively with limited supervision Ability to lead continuous improvement activities Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Ability to meet critical deadlines in a fast-paced manufacturing environment Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Strong teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively with employees and customers High level of motivation, initiative, and urgency Ability to work onsite in
