THE OPPORTUNITY
We are currently search for an experienced Fixed & Rotating Equipment Manager for their refinery operations in Martinez, California . This is a senior technical leadership opportunity responsible for the reliability, integrity, and performance of the site's fixed and rotating equipment . As a member of the Extended Leadership Team (ELT) , you will lead a specialized engineering team while partnering closely with Operations, Maintenance, Technical Services, and Capital Projects to improve equipment performance, reduce operational risk, and support safe and reliable refinery operations.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
Lead and provide technical direction to Fixed Equipment, Corrosion & Materials, and Rotating Equipment Engineers and Field Specialists . Manage staffing, succession planning, technical development, performance, coaching, resource allocation, and departmental budgets. Develop and execute long-term asset integrity and reliability strategies for fixed and rotating equipment. Lead programs involving corrosion management, condition monitoring, fitness-for-service (FFS), vibration analysis, machinery reliability, and equipment risk assessment . Establish and monitor KPIs related to asset health, reliability, risk reduction, and team performance. Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements, industry codes, and engineering standards. Provide senior technical guidance to site leadership and promote a culture of Shared Stewardship of Assets . Partner with Operations, Maintenance, Capital Projects, and Business Services to improve equipment availability and plant performance. Provide technical leadership for capital projects, turnaround scopes, and major reliability improvement initiatives . Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing operational risk and improving plant online factor.
WHAT YOU BRING B.S.
in Engineering , with Mechanical Engineering preferred. Minimum 10 years of direct fixed and/or rotating equipment engineering experience within refining, petrochemical, or chemical processing environments . Minimum 5 years of formal supervisory or management experience leading engineering teams . Strong technical knowledge of damage mechanisms, API 579 fitness-for-service, vibration analysis, asset integrity, and machinery reliability . Experience managing engineering resources and departmental operating budgets. Demonstrated experience supporting major turnarounds (TAR), equipment reliability programs, and capital project scopes . Strong ability to collaborate across Engineering, Maintenance, Operations, and Capital Projects. Valid driver's license and active TWIC® card or ability to obtain one .
