has the following available in Cupertino, California and various unanticipated locations throughout the USA. Identify and drive quality improvements on Apple products and manufacturing processes to enhance overall product quality, performance, and improve customer satisfaction. Develop Product Quality Plans (PQP) to substantiate product quality at each development phase, from product introduction to the production stage, as a way to develop comprehensive plans to ensure and substantiate product quality at each development phase. Engaging with cross-functional teams, manufacturing sites, and original equipment manufacturer (OEM) partners on end-to-end product quality, reliability tests, and field quality to resolve quality incidents. Conducting reliability tests and analyze field quality data to proactively address and resolve quality incidents. Facilitating communication between teams to ensure continuous quality improvement. Spearheading technical failure analysis on new product introduction (NPI) and manufacturing processes to determine root causes and develop risk mitigation strategies. Determining root causes of quality incidents and developing risk mitigation strategies to prevent recurrence. Working closely with engineering teams to implement design changes based on failure analysis findings. Sustaining product quality by collaborating with AppleCare Service and engineering teams for issue resolution. Collaborating with AppleCare Service and engineering teams to address and resolve product quality issues. Implementing corrective actions to maintain and improve sustained product quality throughout the product lifecycle. Conducting periodic reviews of factory quality data with cross-functional teams, OEM partners, senior management, and executive teams to evaluate and present findings for continuous improvement and alignment on quality strategies with overall business goals. International Travel Required 25%. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $163,500 - $246,200/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Preferred Qualifications N/A Minimum Qualifications Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Material Science or related field.
Experience and/or education must include:
Performing Statistical Process Controls for understanding different variables in the manufacturing process. Conducting Design of Experiments to select the most optimal solution for a given problem. Performing Failure Modes and Effect Analysis for understanding the risks in the design and process affecting the overall reliability of the product. Identifying and implementing process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste. Use DMAIC processes to optimize current workflows in the manufacturing site. Assist in training production staff in new processes and equipment. Drive and participate in New Product Introduction (NPI) engagement with cross-functional partners to meet product quality and cost goals. Document standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions to support consistent manufacturing processes.
