Join us as we charge forward. The pay range for this role is: 140,774 - 145,300 USD per year (US) Position Summary We are seeking a talented Quality Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining Quality Management System (QMS) processes, conducting inspections, and managing supplier quality for our EVSE products and construction projects. This role requires hands-on experience with APQP, PPAP, and quality methodologies such as 8D and FMEA, along with a strong background in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management System (QMS) processes in alignment with industry standards. Hands on experience with APQP and PPAP processes. Create and execute quality plans, including inspection and test plans, for EVSE products and construction projects. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Supply Chain, Construction, and Field Service) to establish quality requirements and resolve quality issues. Monitor and analyze field data to identify trends, failure modes, and areas for improvement, working closely with suppliers and Field Service teams to implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA). Support root cause analysis (RCA) and 8D problem-solving processes for field failures. Conduct incoming, in-process, and final inspections of EVSE components and systems to ensure product compliance with specifications, drawings, and applicable standards. Collaborate with suppliers to establish quality standards and ensure their adherence by performing supplier audits and assessments, verifying process controls, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs) and track supplier corrective actions to closure. Oversee construction quality processes to ensure proper installation and commissioning of EVSE chargers. Work with contractors and site managers to address quality issues and implement corrective actions. Analyze quality data to identify areas for process optimization and defect reduction, leading or participating in kaizen events and other lean initiatives. Promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement across the organization. This position required 15% domestic travel and 5% international travel. Qualifications Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering or related field. Five (5) years of experience in the position offered, Quality Control Engineering, or related occupation. Desired Skills Must have experience in Electric Vehicle Supply Equipment (EVSE), power electronics, or a related industry: quality tools and methodologies (8D, FMEA, and SPC); supplier quality management, construction quality, and audit processes. reliability engineering principles and root cause analysis techniques; Microsoft Office and quality management software. statistical analysis methods and tools (Minitab and ReliaSoft). failure analysis techniques and root cause investigation processes. Certification in Quality Engineering (CQE) or Six Sigma.
