Job Description

Our client, a leading innovator in autonomous mobility solutions, is seeking a dedicated Sustaining Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Sustaining Engineer, you will be part of the Engineering Department supporting the Fleet Reliability and Maintenance teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and a proactive mindset, which will align successfully within the organization.

  • What's the Job?
  • + Support the Level 3 test fleet by diagnosing and resolving vehicle and hardware issues across OEM systems and integrated autonomous vehicle hardware.
+ Lead end-to-end troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and develop solutions to improve fleet reliability and availability. + Implement design updates and improvements to enhance durability, serviceability, and fleet performance. + Manage engineering change requests, validate solutions through testing, and oversee fleet trials to ensure long-term effectiveness. + Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing, and service teams to deliver durable, manufacturable, and scalable solutions aligned with design standards.
  • What's Needed?
  • + Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
+ 5+ years of experience in electrical and mechanical systems engineering within product development, manufacturing, or sustaining environments. + Proven ability to improve subsystem reliability using root cause analysis, DFMEA, and validation testing. + Hands-on experience with tools such as Python, SQL, Vector CANalyzer, or Databricks for fleet data analysis and troubleshooting. + Strong communication skills, proficiency with 3D CAD tools like CATIA, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.
