In the role of Senior Customer Quality Engineer you'll play a pivotal part on our Quality team. The Senior Customer Quality Engineer leads and supports the Quality organization and acts as the primary quality interface with one or more customers and suppliers. The individual in this position serves as primary contact focal, facilitating customer corrective actions and collaborating with supplier for supplier corrective actions and driving process improvements across the site. In addition, train quality engineers as required. This individual will also serve on the internal audit team assessing processes to determine adequacy and effectiveness of the existing control environment and identifying opportunities for improvement. This position contributes to our vision by:
- Provides a broad range of Quality support for achieving business objectives to include contract review, requirements dissemination and allocation, facilitating Corrective Action/Supplier corrective action events and implementing process improvements.
- Monitor all non-conformances and trend data to seek like occurrences. Conduct quality improvement activities to strive zero defects
- As a member of the Safran and site Quality Team, provides full service support to operations and supply chain to drive a quality and compliance culture that exemplifies Safran's Group Values
- Provide Continuous Improvement coaching and development across the facility.
- Develop detailed trend and performance analytics to prevent issues from occurring/recurring
- Facilitate the development and continuous improvement of the QRQC program.
- Function as a leader, facilitator, and performer of complex Root Cause and Corrective Action initiatives using industry proven tools and techniques resulting in "Cant Fail" process improvements
- Support Operations, Contract, Sales, Purchasing, and Engineering in their efforts to deploy Zero Defect environments in all activities.
- Investigate contractual and regulatory compliance requirements and assess the company's ability to perform and comply with the stated elements.
- Perform Internal Audits in alignment with AS9100 Rev D standards
- Generate executive level briefing packages with minimal input from leadership
- Establish and implement regular correspondence with prime customers to assure continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
- Support Repair Station Quality operations assuring compliance to FAA requirements
- Respond to inquiries regarding product and process compliance
- Facilitate Lean events across multiple disciplines
- Ensure effective Records and Information management and retention
- Actively engage in the product development states representing quality
- Define & deploy product, process acceptance strategies & plans that maximize value & minimize risk
Job Requirements Education:
BS degree preferred or equivalent work experience in related fields.Experience:
8-10 years' experience within the quality environment.Computer Skills:
Proficient with Microsoft Office® programs, Office, and with MRP systems. Advanced Excel skills.Other Skills:
Certified blue print reader. Strong trouble shooting skills and communication skills. Advanced Spreadsheet building and Microsoft Office Skills. Ability to read engineering drawings, specifications and other related literature is necessary. Proficient with general quality systems and with the following internal processes:CDQ, SQUIP, DSQR.

- Demonstrated ability to handle multiple projects and assignments with attention to detail
- Problem solving, well organized, detailed oriented and accurate.
- Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in working with ISO, Boeing, Airbus, FAA, CAA regulations
- Ability to correctly interpret engineering drawings
- Proficiency in the use of measuring equipment, such as tape measures, micrometers and calipers
- Ability to measure angles
- Understanding of basic algebra and geometry
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations, and problems arising from managing a group of individuals
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and direction
- Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency in interpreting Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS)
- Understanding of processes in SPS manual
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide units of measure using whole numbers, fractions, decimals and percentages

- Must have sensitivity to safety regulations and requirements
- Ability to work within the time constraints dictated by Safran's agreement to customer requests
- Ability to self-inspect personal work and correct discrepancies in a timely manner

- Develop, modify, apply and maintain quality evaluation methods, control systems, and protocols used during product life cycle.
- Collaborate with various engineering and manufacturing functions to ensure quality standards are implemented and properly maintained in addition to identifying, implementing, and monitoring methods and procedures used in inspecting, testing, and evaluating the precision and accuracy of manufacturing equipment and products at various stages of the product life cycle
- Participate in the team to perform financial analysis to COPQ

The expected salary range for this position is between $85,660 - $134,610 USD. Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, education, and other factors permitted by law.
