Job Description

Fabrication Process Engineer Light Integration Technologies (LIT) is a rapidly growing startup founded by pioneers in integrated photonics. With a dedicated team of scientists, engineers, and entrepreneurs, LIT is committed to pushing the boundaries of photonics technology. LIT is seeking talented new team members that thrive in innovative environments. Please find details for the role outlined below. Responsibilities The person fulfilling this role will have the following responsibilities:
  • Develop new fabrication processes for low-loss waveguides and other photonic devices
  • Manage processes for internal development and for customer projects
  • Generate and manage process travelers
  • Provide feedback to design and test teams
  • Participate in internal meetings and external meetings with customers Qualifications A qualified candidate will have the following skills and experience:
  • Bachelor of Science degree is desirable, preferably in science or engineering
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience with semiconductor fabrication
  • Experience with photonics manufacturing including dielectric waveguides, silicon photonics and III-V devices is desirable but not required
  • Experience with semiconductor processing including lithography, deposition, etch, inspection, dicing, polishing
  • Experience with statistical process control
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively to meet the needs of the business.
  • Thrives in fast-paced, entrepreneurial environments - demonstrates the ability to anticipate obstacles, quickly generate alternative solutions, and forge new paths forward.
  • Motivated to dig-in, problem-solve, and make the actions necessary to drive growth.
