JSG is seeking a skilled Quality Engineer to join our clients aerospace manufacturing team in Santa Clarita, CA. This is a 100% on-site contract position (6-18 months) supporting manufacturing quality, root cause analysis, and customer satisfaction improvement activities. - Provide Manufacturing Quality Support and Quality Engineering expertise
- Conduct root cause analysis and drive corrective actions to closure
- Support Customer Satisfaction Improvement Activities
- Partner with operations teams to improve throughput and process performance
- Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to ensure products meet established standards
- Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends and improvement opportunities
- Collaborate with engineering, production, and cross-functional teams to improve product quality
- Prepare and communicate quality reports, findings, and recommendations
- Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and company requirements
- Provide guidance and mentorship to team members on quality procedures and best practices Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in quality assurance, manufacturing, or a related technical field
- Aiken Certified Technician, Bachelors degree, or equivalent qualification
- AS9100 experience required; aerospace experience strongly preferred (medical device industry background with transferable knowledge is also considered)
- Six Sigma Green Belt preferred
- Strong knowledge of quality assurance systems, tools, and methodologies
- Experience with root cause analysis and structured problem-solving techniques
- Ability to evaluate and improve processes to enhance quality and efficiency
- Proficiency in data analysis and quality reporting
- Strong technical documentation and record-keeping skills
- Knowledge of regulatory and compliance requirements
- Effective communication, collaboration, and cross-functional leadership skills Software & Tools
