•135,000 per year, depending on experience We are a 15-person, highly technical aerospace precision machining company specializing in complex, close-tolerance components produced in an automated CNC manufacturing environment . Our customers are tier 1 OEM companies in the air, marine and defense sector. We are looking for an experienced Quality Manager who can take ownership of our quality system while working directly with engineering, manufacturing, inspection, suppliers, and customers. This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who understands that aerospace quality is about more than inspection—it is about process control, documentation, customer requirements, problem prevention, and continuous improvement . This position will have significant responsibility for AS9100 compliance, AS9102 First Article Inspection, PAPP/PPAP development and submission, customer quality requirements, CMM/metrology, nonconformance management, corrective action, audits, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Lead and maintain the company's AS9100 Quality Management System . Develop, prepare, and maintain

packages in accordance with customer-specific requirements. Coordinate all aspects of

submissions , including: Part submission documentation Dimensional inspection results Material certifications Special-process certifications Certificates of conformance Process documentation Control plans Process flow documentation PFMEA, when required Capability studies and process data Gage and measurement-system information Customer-specific quality forms and requirements Manage AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) requirements and documentation. Review customer drawings, specifications, purchase orders, quality clauses, and customer-specific requirements. Ensure production processes consistently meet drawing, specification, GD&T, and customer requirements . Establish and maintain inspection plans, control plans, and quality documentation for complex machined components. Oversee incoming, in-process, and final inspection activities. Utilize and manage CMM, optical measurement, precision gaging, and other metrology equipment . Establish appropriate measurement methods for tight-tolerance aerospace components. Manage calibration and measurement-system controls, including MSA/Gage R&R where applicable. Monitor automated CNC production processes and identify opportunities to prevent defects and reduce variation. Lead nonconformance, MRB, root-cause analysis, corrective action, and preventive action activities. Investigate customer complaints, quality escapes, and internal quality issues. Develop and implement effective corrective actions using structured problem-solving methodologies. Support supplier quality and control of externally provided processes and services. Prepare for and lead internal, customer, and third-party quality audits. Track and report quality metrics, including scrap, rework, customer complaints, escapes, corrective actions, and on-time

submissions. Work closely with Manufacturing and Engineering to develop robust processes for complex aerospace components. Train and mentor employees in quality requirements, inspection methods, documentation, and aerospace quality practices. Maintain accurate and traceable quality records in accordance with AS9100 and customer requirements. Promote a prevention-based quality culture throughout the organization. Top 10 Requirements 7+ years of aerospace quality experience , preferably in precision CNC machining. Strong working knowledge of AS9100 requirements. Demonstrated experience developing and submitting

packages . Strong experience with AS9102 First Article Inspection (FAI) . Knowledge of CNC machining and automated production processes . Strong understanding of GD&T, aerospace drawings, specifications, and engineering requirements . Hands-on experience with CMMs and precision metrology . Experience with nonconformance, root-cause analysis, corrective action, and customer quality issues . Experience supporting customer and third-party aerospace audits . Ability to be a hands-on Quality Manager who can work directly with machinists, inspectors, engineers, suppliers, and customers. Preferred Qualifications ASQ CQE, CQA, or CMQ/OE certification. AS9100 Lead Auditor certification or equivalent experience. Extensive
