Job Description
Hiring for a Quality Engineer in West Haven, CT Job Description The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of quality systems, exposure in chemistry or chemical engineering, and experience in customer-facing quality roles. This position supports a highly regulated chemical manufacturing environment, ensuring the maintenance and enhancement of quality standards. Responsibilities Support audits, manage customer questionnaires, and maintain quality documentation. Conduct quality investigations, including troubleshooting issues, performing root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions. Interact directly with customers to manage quality-related communications and handle customer concerns professionally. Ensure compliance with
ISO 9001
requirements and participate in customer audits and compliance activities. Essential Skills Proficiency in Quality Management Systems (QMS). Experience in quality investigations, including root cause analysis and corrective actions. Knowledge of chemical engineering or chemistry. Familiarity withISO 9001
standards and requirements. Experience in supplier and customer quality management. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with APQP, 5 Why's, and Fish Bone methodologies. Work Environment This role is based onsite Monday through Friday, from 8 am to 5 pm, with 75% of the time spent in the office and 25% on the shop floor. There is a requirement for quarterly travel to customer sites, both domestically and internationally. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of West Haven, CT. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $34.00 - $45.00/hr.
