POSITION PURPOSE
The Quality Engineer Team Lead is responsible for leading and driving products and process quality initiatives to ensure compliance, reduce costs, improve operational efficiency, and deliver sustainable business benefits. This role combines technical leadership with people management, driving the implementation of corrective actions related to product quality, process performance,new product introduction, and continuous improvements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams to drive process improvements and defect reduction. Lead, mentor and develop a team of inspectors and technicians. Coachother key team membersin quality methodologies, and problem-solving techniques. Prioritizing investigations, leading root cause analysis and corrective actions. Coordinating product reliability testing and qualification efforts by working closely with Design and Mfg. teams. Activeparticipating in new product development and introduction; ensuring quality is built into product design and manufacturing processes from the beginning. Drive the use of statistical and analytical methods to monitor trends and improve overall process performance and product quality. Manage, enhance, improve and track quality metrics that are specific, measurable and relevant to SCRAM's continuous improvement efforts. Lead continuous improvement initiatives Support supplier quality activities, including supplier performance monitoring, corrective actions, and process improvement. #

Experience and Skills:
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Certification:
Bachelor's Science degree in an Engineering or other related technical discipline. Six Sigma Green or Black Belt, certified SSGB or SSBB preferred. ASQ CQE certification is highly desirable.
Required Knowledge:
Minimum of 7+ years of engineering and/or quality systems experience in a manufacturing environment is required.
Experience Required:
Experience with management skills. Experience with ISO standards Experience with supplier development and process improvement. Experience with 5S, DMAIC, Value Stream Mapping, Kaizen, Poke-yoke, and other Lean Six Sigma tools. Experience with assembly processes, work instructions, PFMEA, control plans, and SPC Understanding of or familiarity with standard cost accounting and department budgets.

Must have the ability to identify problems and opportunities in the related areas. Define, structure, plan, and implement improvement projects to satisfy site, business group, and corporate objectives. Must possess excellent management skills and organization skills, strong leadership capabilities, strong interpersonal skills, excellent oral and technical writing communication skills, be open-minded and innovative. Ability to build relationships with all levels in the organization. Must be able to scale ideas, build programs and processes that fit AMS needs and abilities to achieve. Must be able to visualize goals as long term objectives and drive continuous change over time to achieve those long-term visions.
