Team Leader | Full-Time | ProductionManufacuring Quality Engineer (MQE)
NC Handling, Containment & Governance Lead rapid containment for supplier, internal, and customer NCs to protect downstream operations. Govern QBD Levels 1-2, ensuring proper escalation, documentation, and closure. Verify effectiveness of corrective actions and ensure sustainable implementation. Review and evaluate special NCs for NCTECH escalation Audit NC Management systems and ensure compliance with QMS (Quality Management System) requirements. Structured Problem Solving Lead and facilitate 8D, Six Sigma, and 5-Why root cause analysis. Define corrective and preventive actions that eliminate recurrence. Ensure cross-functional alignment and timely closure of actions. Calibration, Tooling & Measurement Systems Ensure adherence to the calibration program (Enterprise Asset Management) for tooling and measuring instruments. Confirm measurement system capability through MSA and periodic verification. Operator Competence & Quality Coaching Assess operator competence levels and support reinforcement training for elevated NC/defect areas. Coach standard work, visual management, and quality behaviors on the shop floor. Drive CoPQ reduction through preventive quality and structured coaching. Continuous Improvement & Preventive Quality Prioritize and lead CI/Kaizen activities with a focus on preventive quality and defect elimination. Analyze CTQ (Critical to Quality) and process data to identify trends and improvement opportunities. Digital Quality & Data Integration Integrate digital quality tools into the QMS, including NC, test, and traceability systems. Ensure accurate, timely, and complete data for decision-making and reporting. NPI, Qualifications & Change Management Support Change Requests (CRs), product qualifications, and introduction of new products. Collaborate with Engineering, NPI, and Production to ensure quality readiness for new processes and technologies. Apply blade construction and structural knowledge to support qualification and release. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Communication Communicate quality risks, findings, and improvement actions clearly to operators, technicians, and leadership. General Purpose:
The Manufacturing Quality Engineer (MQE) ensures stable, capable, and compliant production processes by driving preventive quality, structured problem solving, and robust governance of QBD(Quality before Delivery), NC (Non-Conformance) handling, and digital quality systems. The role strengthens product quality, reduces CoPQ (Cost of Poor Quality), and supports NPI (New Product Introduction), qualifications, and continuous improvement across the value chain.Essentials Functions:
Preventive Quality & Process Control (A1 / C1) Implement preventive process controls including PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), Control Plans, SPC (Statistical Process Control), MSA (Measurement System Analysis), confirmations, layered audits, and containment gates. Maintain and update PFMEA and Control Plans to reflect process risks, mitigations, and capability. (Quality Data Analysis), and quality systems.Education, Training, and Skills Required:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field; equivalent experience considered. 5+ years of experience in manufacturing quality, process engineering, or similar roles. Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt preferred; Lead Auditor certification preferred. Strong knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, and structured problem solving (8D/DMAIC). Ability to analyze product and process data using databases, spreadsheets, and analytical tools. Strong communication, facilitation, and cross-functional collaboration skills. High adaptability, learning agility, and commitment to quality excellence. Physical Demands Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, and navigate production areas for extended periods. Ability to see and hear alarms, follow verbal instructions, and wear required PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) for the duration of tasks. Ability to work in environments where chemicals and composite materials are used within OSHA guidelines. Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds occasionally. Ability to work in environments with moderate noise, moving mechanical parts, vibration, and occasional chemical exposure. Work EnvironmentThis role is primarily performed in a standard office environment with typical conditions such as computer-based work, routine communication with team members, and consistent lighting, temperature, and noise levels. Because the position supports operations, employees may have limited, task-based exposure to adjacent manufacturing areas. When entering production spaces, employees may encounter: Chemical and material exposure — including latex, epoxy, fiberglass, and fiberglass dust, in accordance with OSHA guidelines. Elevated noise — requiring hearing protection when thresholds are exceeded. PPE requirements — such as safety glasses, gloves, or hearing protection depending on assigned tasks. Hazardous material protocols — participation in safe handling, storage, segregation, and disposal of hazardous substances per regulatory and company standards. $50,000- $79,500 annually
