Summary:
The Hanwha Aerospace USA Junior Quality Engineer will be responsible for all activities associated with the Quality function reporting directly to the Quality Manager.
Essential Functions:
Ensure process and procedures defined in the Quality Management System (QMS) are adhered to.

Support mid-level and senior level quality engineers to drive tasks to completion.

Support internal and external audit activities (System, workstation, NADCAP, Customer, etc.) as required to meet requirements and maintain approvalsBe cognizant of Export Control requirements and controls, taking necessary steps to ensure export compliance at all timesSupport raw material certification reviews and purchase order quality review as required.

Support the quality NPI process from Contract review to delivery as requiredBallooning customer drawings and creation of IMS for inspection data capture.

Collection and reporting of KPC data in accordance with customer requirements.

Actively participate in the RCCA process as required.

Analyze SPC data to understand if a process change is needed.

Develop understanding of CMM inspection equipment.

Assist in the creation of FAIRs and PPAPs as required.

Participate in the Company Continuous Improvement events as required.

Perform other related duties or responsibilities as requested or required.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
Must be a U.S. Person as defined by the U.S. Government and able to work without restrictions with ITAR related data.

High school degree or G.E.D. required. 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment or aerospace.

Desired Knowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesAbility to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization. Ability to interpret policies, procedures, and standard business practices. Ability to use Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access). Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering work instructions. Ability to read, write, and understand English at a functional level.

Ability to travel 5-10% when required. Knowledge of inspection techniques and quality engineering practices.
