This position will be responsible in assisting with the development of Quality systems, procedures and controls to ensure that products consistently meet performance and quality specifications and standards (ISO/IATF/AS). Responsible for assisting the Quality Manager in root cause analysis and corrective actions. Creating Control Plans and inspection plans for existing and new product development. Work with Suppliers to resolve quality issues on raw materials, products and services. Participates in Lean and Six Sigma projects
Essential Functions:
Responsibilities that are requirements in order to perform the job: Investigate product quality problems, determine root cause, gather and analyze data and implement corrective action to reduce or eliminate cause Perform process capability studies for manufacturing process improvement Perform Measurement System Analysis (Gage R&R) Assist the QM in creating Quality Control Plans and Inspection plans Coordinate and leads investigations regarding RMAs and customer complaints to identify and effectively resolve problems in timely manner Monitor and/or perform quality activities for part acceptance including First Article Inspection and PPAPs (AIAG Core Tools) Work closely with Manufacturing and Assembly operations to identify and resolve production and quality system deficiency Assist the QM in helping to facilitate continuous improvement and learning across all functional areas through training and communication of quality initiatives Conduct internal audits to assess effectiveness of the Quality Management System Collaborate with Engineering department to support new product development and design through design verification activities Assist the QM to manage quality metrics and present findings and recommendations to the management review team Collaborate with Purchasing department to work with vendors and suppliers relating to quality issues Participate in assessing potential new suppliers and help improve the entire supply chain Conduct on-site quality and process assessments at suppliers when required Ensure effective and timely closure on all Supplier Corrective Actions Provide mentoring and assistance to other Quality personnel Responsible to maintain a clean and safe working environment & GMP requirements Lead and facilitates Lean and Six Sigma projects using the RCI system Handles all projects assigned by QM within the scope of the position
Education/Experience Guidelines:
Bachelor's degree required (at a minimum) in a related field such as BS Industrial / Chemical / Manufacturing Engineering Machine shop, fabrication, or assembly background preferred Excellent problem solving and analytical skills Must be able to acquire and analyze data using statistical tools Auditing background is a plus Knowledgeable with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint Knowledge of AIAG Core Tools Programming and operating CMM a plus Good organizational skills required E-verify employer.
