Company Overview:
This organization is a recognized leader in the development and production of advanced resin and polymer technologies, supporting several industries such as automotive, construction, electronics, and consumer products. They have a handful of manufacturing sites in the United States and also have a presence in Europe.
Position Overview:
This will be a quality engineer role wearing several hats, as this is a smaller facility. This is an especially good opportunity for someone earlier in their career who is looking to gain a well-rounded skillset and who wants to be a part of building something. Among the responsibilities of this role are: Day-to-day quality work in the lab and interfacing with folks in the plant (root-cause analysis, corrective action planning and execution) Participate in the rebuilding and improvement of the QMS (quality management system) for this facility Participate and spearhead the developing of an SPC program Optimization of tracking and reporting quality metrics and support of the Management of Change (MOC) process
Minimum Requirements:
B.S. degree in Chemical Engineering required 3+ years of post-college, chemical industry experience Must have worked in a PSM-regulated manufacturing plant Looking for someone who knows "what good looks like" in terms of quality systems, within chemical manufacturing Huge plus for six-sigma green belt and/or black-belt
