Job Description Help for Job Description. Opens a new window. Support quality and process improvements projects for LiDAR sensor projects for customer applications. Strategize and perform all internal and external audits and assessments in the project regarding preparation and follow up on findings related to industry standards for safety and quality. Implement and oversee software quality systems. Conduct Automotive Software Process Improvement Capability Determination (ASPICE) assessments. Support development of comprehensive process methodologies to ensure delivery of high-quality software and embedded systems. Process reviews of overall developed process framework for projects and programs. Support activities in Product Development and Life Cycle processes including design controls, quality planning, risk assessments, analysis, management, design reviews, and approval of test methods. Design and process verification and validation test plans and reports. Reports to the Engineering Program Quality Manager. Up to 10% travel to client sites (domestic and international). Requirements include m asters degree or foreign equivalent in Industrial Engineering or related technical field plus 1 year of experience as a Quality Engineer, Industrial Engineer, or related occupation.
Also requires experience/skills:
Automotive quality engineering including Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) (through to launch).Conducting ASPICE internal and external assessments and using Lean Six Sigma process improvement methodology. Utilizing problem-solving methods, including at least two of the following: 5Whys, 8D, or Kepner Tregoe.
ISO:
26262 - Functional Safety. Creation and maintenance of engineering processes and infrastructure development.1 year with Stages Process model tool.1 year with European and US-based OEMS. 1year with baseline audit and configuration management. Reporting using Confluence, project tracking with Jira, and maintaining program dashboards with PowerBI. Experience with release management in
ARENA PLM.
Creation and maintenance of training materials. Must have ASPICE Provisional Assessor License or be able to procure within 90 days from start of employment.
