We are seeking a results-driven Engineering & Production Operations Manager to improve efficiency, throughput, and on-time delivery across our engineering and manufacturing organization. This is a high-visibility, cross-functional role working closely with the CTO, Production Manager, and Business Development Manager, with direct exposure to the CEO. You will define performance KPIs, identify bottlenecks, and drive improvements that make delivery faster, more predictable, and more profitable. About the Role We are a growing technology and manufacturing company specializing in advanced power conversion systems. We're looking for someone who can see across the whole operation, identifying inefficiencies and driving improvements across engineering and production. This role does not replace technical leadership. Engineering is led by the CTO and production is led by the Production Manager. Your role is to create visibility, define performance metrics, identify execution gaps, and help leadership drive corrective action. What You'll Do Define and own the KPI framework — which doesn't yet exist — that drives on-time delivery, cost efficiency, and product quality. Build dashboards and reporting cadences that give leadership clear visibility into engineering, production, quality, and project performance. Coordinate across engineering disciplines, including mechanical, electrical, electronics, embedded/firmware, PCB, systems integration, test, production, procurement, quality, and sales. Align engineering and production schedules to support realistic commitments and predictable delivery. Spot bottlenecks, delays, resource conflicts, and quality issues early, reducing delays and improving throughput. Lead root-cause analysis on recurring delays, rework, and quality issues, and drive corrective actions to closure with the right owners. Support continuous-improvement initiatives that reduce cycle time, improve first-pass yield, reduce rework, and increase operational efficiency. Track projects and program execution against schedule, budget, scope, and delivery commitments. Prepare clear, data-backed updates for executive leadership on operational performance, risks, priorities, and recommended actions. What a Typical Week Looks Like Reviewing KPI dashboards and operational performance with leadership. Aligning engineering and production schedules across active projects. Identifying schedule risks, quality issues, resource conflicts, and delivery bottlenecks. Leading root-cause discussions on delays, rework, or missed milestones. Following up with engineering, production, procurement, and quality owners to ensure corrective actions are moving forward. Preparing executive updates for the CEO on project health, KPI trends, risks, and improvement initiatives. What We're Looking For Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field. 7+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, operations, or program execution, with a strong track record of improving efficiency and delivery performance. Proven ability to drive results across teams through data, influence, credibility, and follow-through — not just authority. Strong understanding of both engineering project execution and manufacturing operations. Experience defining KPIs, building dashboards, and using metrics to drive better business and operational decisions. Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively with senior technical leadership, production teams, and shop-floor personnel. Hands-on, accountable, results-oriented operating style. Preferred Experience Power electronics, industrial manufacturing, transportation/rail, energy, or high-power electrical equipment. Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience. PMP or equivalent project/program management experience. ERP/MRP system experience. Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality-management systems. Why Join Us?
