Job Description

About the Role As a Metrology Specialist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the precision and reliability of our manufacturing processes by maintaining the integrity of our measurement instrumentation. You will be responsible for verifying that all critical tools meet rigorous industry standards, directly impacting the quality and consistency of our final products. Responsibilities Perform precise calibration of measurement tools, including micrometers, calipers, and various thread gages, ensuring full compliance with ISO-9000 and
ANSI Z540-1
standards. Manage the lifecycle of calibration requirements for specialized manufacturing equipment and ovens, adhering to AMS-2750 and
ASTM E-29
protocols. Execute comprehensive plant-wide audits to verify calibration compliance and maintain accurate status tracking for all internal and vendor-managed equipment. Maintain meticulous digital records of calibration certifications, ensuring all documentation is complete, accurate, and audit-ready. Coordinate with external calibration vendors to ensure timely service and inventory availability. Analyze measurement data to identify trends, troubleshoot inaccuracies, and implement corrective actions to improve overall process reliability. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality control, metrology, or precision manufacturing within an ISO9001 or AS9100 environment. Demonstrated proficiency in interpreting complex engineering drawings and blueprints. Ability to obtain necessary export control authorizations as required by federal regulations. Preferred Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience utilizing ERP systems like SAP. Hands-on experience with Gage Trak or similar specialized calibration management software. Knowledge of
ISO 17025
requirements and experience developing Gage R&R studies to validate measurement systems.
