Position Overview:
As part of the talented Quality Engineering team, you will ensure product and process quality throughout the product lifecycle, from new product introduction through full‑rate production. This role partners cross‑functionally with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Suppliers to implement robust quality systems, lead problem‑solving activities, analyze data, and drive continuous improvement. Quality Engineer plays a critical role in protecting the customer, supporting compliance, and advancing Brunswick's commitment to excellence. Essential Functions:
Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Management System (QMS) processes aligned to
ISO 9001
standards, including document control and internal audits Lead structured problem‑solving initiatives using RCA, 8D, Six Sigma, and DMAIC methodologies Analyze manufacturing and quality data using SPC, MSA, capability studies, and statistical tools to support data‑driven decisions Support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, control plans, and risk management Partner with manufacturing teams to strengthen shop‑floor disciplines, error‑proofing, and continuous improvement initiatives Lead and participate in cross‑functional teams, providing technical direction, training, and mentorship Communicate quality performance, risks, and improvement actions clearly to stakeholders at all levels Diversity of thought and experiences is fundamental when imagining the unimaginable. Certain skillsets/experiences are necessary; however, others can be developed along the way.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or related technical field 4-6 years of previous experience Working knowledge of ISO 9001, core quality tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA), and structured problem solving Ability to analyze data and apply statistical methods to real‑world manufacturing processes
Preferred Qualifications:
Professional certification such as ASQ CQE, Six Sigma Green or Black Belt, or
ISO 9001
Auditor Experience supporting NPI programs in a manufacturing environment Demonstrated leadership experience in cross‑functional or technical team settings
Working Conditions:
Manufacturing and office environments with regular time spent on the production floor Able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods and occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
