Job Description
Description The Quality Manager will work to improve internal and external processes, practices, and products to provide the best customer experience. Lead all quality planning, quality assurance, and quality control activities across the organization Develop new processes and corrective actions in a non‑standardized environment; build structure where it does not yet exist Serve as escalation point for customer issues coming from the Technical Support Team Manage 3 technical support representatives (direct) and 12 quality technicians + 1 weld engineer (indirect) Implement, maintain, and improve the Quality Management System Establish, track, and improve KPIs for Quality and Technical Support teams Expand quantitative and qualitative product quality metrics Lead quality action team meetings and drive continuous improvement Collaborate with the Learning Center to develop quality‑related skill development plans Work with operations to maintain lineside quality boards Analyze complex manufacturing data in a high‑volume, low‑mix, fully custom production environment Work internally and externally with customers, engineering, and operations to resolve escalated issues Skills Quality engineering, manufacturing engineering, process improvement Top Skills Details Quality engineering,manufacturing engineering,process improvement Additional Skills & Qualifications Must‑
Have:
Bachelor's degree in engineering or BS equivalent with emphasis on quality management 5+ years of experience in a quality organization Strong data analysis capability and comfort with complex manufacturing data Experience developing processes from scratch (not just modifying existing ISO‑based systems) Ability to work directly with customers on escalated technical issues Leadership or team‑lead experience; ready to step into a management role Excellent communication, teamwork, and collaboration skills Proficiency with MS Office, Office 365, and Teams Ability to manage multiple duties and deadlines in a fast‑moving environment Willingness to travel up to ~25% Nice‑to‑Have:
Experience in durable goods manufacturing Experience with ISO 9001 or other structured quality systems (even if not fully implemented) Customer‑facing experience in technical or engineering environments Strong continuous improvement mindset for both processes and people Ability to support warranty workflows and technical support operations Experience working in custom, high‑complexity manufacturing environments Experience Level Intermediate Level Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Manchester, IA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $125000.00/yr.
