Our client in Coeur d'Alene, ID, a leader in advanced composite manufacturing for aerospace and defense, is seeking a Quality Engineer to plan, coordinate, and direct quality assurance and quality control programs to ensure products meet established standards. This role plays a key part in maintaining quality systems, supporting production, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Interested? Please read on! Responsibilities for the Quality Engineer
- Support and maintain Quality Department operations, including leadership in the absence of the Quality Manager
- Develop and maintain quality objectives aligned with company goals
- Establish standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation
- Conduct quality engineering reviews of design documentation and vendor materials
- Apply statistical process control (SPC) methods to analyze and improve processes
- Review quality data to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Oversee inspection and testing activities to maintain product quality
- Investigate and resolve customer quality concerns
- Communicate quality issues and improvements to leadership
- Design and deliver quality training programs
- Ensure compliance with industry and regulatory quality standards
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (5S, Kaizen, RCCA, Value Stream Analysis) Requirements for the Quality Engineer
- Associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
- Minimum of 3 years of progressive quality experience
- Strong knowledge of quality systems, SPC, and root cause analysis
- Experience in manufacturing environments required
- Background in aerospace, aviation, defense, or government contracting is a plus
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Experience with tooling design, tooling design reviews, and tooling supplier management are preferred Sound like a good fit?
