Job Description
Genesis10 is currently seeking a Quality Engineer II for a direct hire opportunity with a Global Industrial Equipment Manufacturer located in Buffalo Grove, IL.
Pay Range:
$45.00 - $55.00 per hour based on experience
This role ensures product and processpliance with all customer, regulatory, and industry standards. The ideal candidate will work independently to support audits, contribute to cross-functional initiatives, and a solid technical knowledge of quality tools to proactively solve problems while taking full ownership of their duties and responsibilities.
Responsibilities:
Log and track customerplaints, lead cross-functional containment and root cause activities, and ensure timely corrective actions
Communicate quality status and performance trends to customers and internal teams
Coordinate customer visits, prepare reports on systemic issues, and lead action plans to close gaps
Approve reworks, support manufacturing in processing NCMRs, and conduct process audits to ensurepliance
Track and analyze Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and submit improvement ideas to reduce waste
Lead structured problem-solving (8D) and implement corrective/preventive actions
Support Lean, Six Sigma, and DMAIC initiatives and participate in Kaizen events
Support
ISO 9001
audits to ensure QMSpliance
Track
APQP/PPAP
status for new product launches and ensure robust process validation
Manage quality alerts, concessions/deviations, and approve internal deviations
Manage internal/external finished goods
PPAP/FAI
documentation
Utilize ERP/MES systems and digital QMS platforms for data management and traceability
Monitor KPIs and customer scorecards, analyze trends, and present quality metrics to leadership
Support physical inventory, cycle count activities, and ensure quality inventory accuracy
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Science, Quality or related field
5+ years of work experience in the Quality Field
Customer facing experience
Familiarity with ERP/MES systems and digital QMS platforms
Solid understanding of
PPAP, FMEA, SPC, CAPA
; basic DOE and MSA
Proficient in Excel for data analysis
Knowledge of ISO 9001 and transit-specific standards
Ability to work independently andmunicate effectively across teams
