Job Description
Akkodis is seeking a Quality Engineer III for a Contract with a client in Gurnee, IL. The ideal candidate with experience driving quality assurance, process improvement, and customer quality initiatives within manufacturing environments to ensure product excellence and operational effectiveness.

Rate Range:
$40/hour to $45/hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors. Quality Engineer III Job Responsibilities include: Develop and maintain Quality Assurance plans, APQP activities, and quality processes to support new product introductions and customer requirements. Partner with cross-functional teams during product development, process design, and implementation phases to ensure quality standards are achieved. Investigate customer, supplier, and internal quality issues, driving corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and tracking their effectiveness. Evaluate inspection methods, develop quality documentation, and provide guidance on inspection processes, work instructions, and quality controls. Collaborate with suppliers and customers to resolve quality concerns, improve manufacturing processes, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Provide technical quality support, conduct training, and promote process optimization and standardization across manufacturing operations and global customer programs.Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering, Quality Management, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related technical field. 5+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Quality Assurance, or Manufacturing Quality within a production environment. Strong experience with APQP, process optimization, new product introduction (NPI), and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) methodologies. Proven ability to manage customer and supplier quality issues, drive continuous improvement initiatives, and support cross-functional manufacturing operations.
