2015 certified organization, quality is an integral part of everything we do. Position Summary We are seeking an experienced and motivated Quality Manager to support and continuously improve our Quality Management System (QMS). This position will play an important role in supporting our
ISO 9001
2015 certification, ensuring customer requirements are met, supporting production, and driving a culture of quality and continuous improvement throughout the organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of quality systems and manufacturing processes, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively with customers, production personnel, engineering, and management. This is a hands-on position suited for someone who is comfortable balancing day-to-day quality responsibilities with process improvement and customer support in a fast-paced fabrication environment. Key Responsibilities Support the company's
ISO 9001
2015 Quality Management System and assist with maintaining compliance. Ensure customer requirements, internal procedures, and applicable quality standards are understood and followed. Serve as a primary quality contact for customers and assist with customer quality concerns and requests. Develop and maintain PPAP documentation and other customer-specific quality documentation. Manage the company's calibration program, including equipment records, schedules, and traceability. Develop and implement production inspection programs and inspection requirements. Create and maintain Control Plans, inspection documentation, and other quality-related work instructions. Lead root-cause analysis and corrective action activities. Investigate internal and customer quality issues and implement effective corrective actions. Work closely with production and other departments to identify opportunities for process improvement and defect prevention. Monitor quality performance and identify trends requiring corrective action. Support internal and external audits and assist with timely resolution of audit findings. Maintain quality records and documentation in accordance with the QMS and customer requirements. Assist in developing and improving inspection methods, processes, and quality standards. Train and mentor employees on quality requirements, inspection methods, and quality system procedures. Promote a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and quality ownership. Qualifications 5+ years of relevant quality experience in a manufacturing environment preferred. Experience working with
ISO 9001
Quality Management System. Experience in steel fabrication, welding, machining, or other metal manufacturing environments preferred. Working knowledge of manufacturing inspection methods and quality control practices. Experience with PPAP, Control Plans, corrective action, and root-cause analysis. Familiarity with 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone/Ishikawa problem-solving methodologies. Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements. Strong organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, production employees, supervisors, and management. Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office applications. Experience with measuring tools, Romer Arm, PC-DMIS and calibration systems preferred. Experience conducting or participating in ISO or customer audits preferred. Experience with OEM customer quality requirements and
PPAP/APQP
processes preferred. Formal training or certification in quality management, continuous improvement, or a related field is a plus. ASQ CQE, CQA, or equivalent certification is a plus. What We're Looking For The successful candidate will be a practical, hands-on quality professional who can build strong relationships across the organization while helping ensure that quality standards and customer requirements are met. This person should be comfortable working directly with the shop floor, investigating problems, communicating with customers, and developing processes that prevent quality issues from recurring.
Pay:
$80,000.00 per year
