Job Description

About the Role As a Quality Assurance Engineer, you will serve as a technical authority for maintaining high-precision manufacturing standards and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring product integrity by overseeing quality management systems and leading cross-functional teams to resolve complex technical challenges. Responsibilities Lead root cause analysis investigations using 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone methodologies to eliminate defects and prevent recurrence. Manage the CAPA system to ensure rigorous implementation and verification of corrective actions. Execute PFMEA sessions to proactively identify and mitigate manufacturing risks before they impact production. Oversee AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIR) and PPAP documentation to ensure regulatory and customer compliance. Utilize Statistical Process Control (SPC) to monitor process capabilities and drive data-backed variance reduction. Maintain the integrity of the gauge calibration program and optimize measurement system effectiveness. Act as a technical liaison for customer quality inquiries, technical deviations, and supplier quality management. Train and mentor production staff on metrology, inspection techniques, and QMS standards to elevate overall team performance. Qualifications Required Skills Associate degree in a technical or industrial field, or equivalent professional experience. 5+ years of experience in manufacturing quality control within an
ISO 9001
environment. Proven expertise in CMM operation and programming (Calypso preferred). Strong proficiency in metrology tools including micrometers, calipers, and advanced gauging. Advanced computer literacy with the Microsoft Office suite. Preferred Skills Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related technical discipline. Direct experience with AS9100 aerospace standards and regulatory compliance. Deep knowledge of GD&T principles and complex blueprint interpretation. Demonstrated success in conducting internal and third-party quality audits. Professional certification in quality control or metal trades.
