Job Title:
Quality Engineer Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Quality Engineer to evaluate and address customer concerns, ensuring prompt corrective actions. The role involves assisting the quality team with customer and internal audits, ensuring compliance throughout the organization from product design through manufacturing and product support. The Quality Engineer will perform compliance audits to customer requirements as defined on current purchase orders, document audit results, and coordinate required corrective actions. Additionally, you will perform assessments and internal audits on personnel, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with specifications, procedures, and industry standards. Responsibilities Evaluate and investigate customer concerns, taking action to address and correct issues promptly. Assist the quality team with customer and internal audits. Ensure compliance throughout the organization on assigned programs or customers from product design through manufacturing and product support. Perform compliance audits to customer requirements as defined on current purchase orders. Document audit results and coordinate required corrective actions. Perform assessments and internal audits on personnel, processes, and procedures to ensure compliance with specifications, procedures, and industry standards. Essential Skills 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience. Experience working with Aerospace standards (AS9100 or AS9102) or medical device (ISO13485). Quality auditing experience is a must. Additional Skills & Qualifications Bachelor of Science degree is a plus. Any Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) experience is a plus. Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience is a plus. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Rockford, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $47.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
