Job Description

Linde Inc. Plant Engineer Chesterton or Gary, IN, United States | req29865 What you will enjoy doing• You will provide project support for Burns Harbor, IN, Gary, IN, and associated satellite plant operations Execute the Management of Change (MOC) work process, ensuring all changes to systems, equipment, and processes are properly evaluated, documented, and implemented in compliance with safety and operational standards Lead and support capital projects, process improvements, and infrastructure upgrades from concept through completion Further, you will troubleshoot plant equipment and systems to resolve reliability and performance issues Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance safety, efficiency, and cost performance Monitor equipment performance data and drive corrective actions for underperforming assets And you will maintain and update documentation including P&IDs, SWDs, and site-specific operating procedures, in accordance with MOC requirements Travel approximately 15% to support multi-site operations What makes you great You have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Chemical Engineering (or related field) Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment You will demonstrate excellent interpersonal and communication skills that strengthen collaboration across operational and technical teams Computer proficiency with Microsoft products Working knowledge of Management of Change (MOC) processes Ability to travel approximately 15% of the time Flexibility in work schedule to support operations during startup, shutdown or unplanned events Why you will love working with us Linde is a leading global industrial gases and engineering company with 2025 sales of $34 billion.
