ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Includes the following along with other duties that may also be assigned. First point of contact for customer. Works independently or in a team environment on problem solving activities.
Follows systematic problem-solving methodology:
5Why, 8D, and customer required forms etc. Develops, installs and evaluates process sampling systems, procedures and statistical techniques. Develops or specifies inspection and testing mechanisms and equipment. Analyzes production and service limitations and standards. Recommends revision of specifications as needed. Formulates or helps formulate policies and procedures specific to quality function. Must be available and willing to work overtime per day or per week as determined necessary to meet business needs. Travel to customers or suppliers. Currently trained and conducts training on department specific concepts, tools and testing equipment. Quantifies quality costs and develops P.O. when applicable. Interfaces with all other engineering components within the company and with customers and suppliers on quality specific issues. Prepare PPAP's, FMEA's, Control plans, 5P's or 8 D's (Responsible during launch, mass production and service.) Performs quality audits Daily reporting: internal activities: Quality Circle meeting, customer & plant issues, and customer driven reports
