Job Title:
Production Quality Engineer (Radars) Job Description The Production Quality Engineer supports Radar manufacturing operations by driving quality performance, leading structured problem-solving activities, and ensuring compliance with quality standards. This role serves as the primary quality liaison within the Production Center and plays a key role in continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities Lead and facilitate structured problem-solving activities (PPS / 8D) with cross-functional teams to address production quality issues. Own defect reporting, analysis, and resolution, including root cause identification and implementation of corrective and preventive actions. Serve as the primary point of contact for all quality-related topics within the Production Center. Monitor, analyze, and report key quality performance indicators (KPIs), including Rework, First Pass Yield (FPY), and daily, weekly, and monthly scrap levels. Prepare and present quality performance data, trends, risks, and improvement actions to management. Participate in Production Center project milestones, ensuring quality requirements and deliverables are met. Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing defects, waste, and variation in production processes. Essential Skills Production Quality Engineering experience. Advanced knowledge of problem-solving methodologies such as 8D and Practical Problem Solving (PPS). Strong understanding of quality tools and methodologies, including Control Plans, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and Statistical Process Control (SPC). Working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, including 5S, Workplace organization, and Continuous improvement (Kaizen). Experience working within anISO 9001
quality management system. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Work Environment The position is based in a brand new facility in Olathe, with working hours from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Overland Park, KS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $125000.00/yr. Company has good benefits, including 3 weeks of PTO and 12 holidays starting out Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Overland Park,KS.
