Commissioning Engineer

Duties:

Commission startups and standby projects, providing engineering and technical support for automation and controls processes in manufacturing, automotive and parcel industries. Determine equipment malfunctions and restore equipment to operation. Troubleshoot electrical wiring issues during startup and commissioning phase of project. Design and develop PLC and HMI programs. Evaluate and troubleshoot applications programming code. Conduct functional testing and system verification to meet design intent and performance standards. Ensure all systems are installed and functioning according to industry standards and best practices. Review drawings and specifications across multiple projects to ensure the building owner's intent met the requirements. Prepare documentation, safety paperwork, and manuals, as necessary for each industry. Prepare daily reports that summarize the key findings, issues and corrective actions. Interface and collaborate with project managers, subcontractors, and members of the design and construction teams to ensure integration of systems. No hire/fire authority.
