Find the cause. Correct the process. Build quality into every product. Do you enjoy investigating why a product fails to meet specifications and working out what needs to change so the same issue doesn't happen again? Solvent Technology Solutions is looking for a Quality Engineer to join our team on-site in New Orleans, LA, and take direct responsibility for product quality standards, root-cause analysis and compliance across our site operations. This is more than inspecting finished products. Develop and maintain inspection plans, quality control procedures, test protocols and acceptance criteria for incoming materials, in-process operations and finished products. Audit production workflows on the floor to confirm adherence to SOPs, safety standards and quality protocols, and coordinate the resolution of findings.

Review manufacturing processes for sources of variation and recommend changes to equipment settings, work instructions, materials or inspection methods. Support new product introductions and engineering changes by evaluating quality risks and confirming inspection and control measures are in place before full production. Perform or coordinate first-article inspections, dimensional checks and product testing against drawings and specifications. Maintain calibration schedules for inspection tools, gages and test equipment to keep the site audit-ready under ISO standards. Keep nonconformance reports, inspection records and test results complete for traceability, and support customer complaint investigations.
