Our client, a leader in chemical manufacturing, is seeking a dedicated and innovative Production Reliability Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a key member of the Operations Department supporting manufacturing and process improvement initiatives, you will bring your expertise, enthusiasm, and problem-solving skills to enhance operational efficiency, safety, and quality. Production Reliability Engineer Location:
Westlake, Louisiana What's the Job? Identify and implement process and procedural improvements to increase capacity, reduce costs, and enhance safety and quality in chemical manufacturing processes. Troubleshoot existing processes to improve operating efficiency and reliability of mechanical and instrumentation systems. Oversee capital projects from initial concept through to commissioning, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery. Develop and refine process equipment specifications, including reactors, agitators, heat exchangers, pumps, and filters, collaborating with vendors and operations teams. Lead or participate in safety and process hazard analysis teams, ensuring compliance with safety standards and best practices. What's Needed? Degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering from an accredited institution. Experience working in a chemical plant environment with mechanical equipment design, troubleshooting, and reliability assessment. Proficiency in developing process flow diagrams, P&IDs, and performing mass and energy balances. Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform data and statistical analysis to inform decision-making. Ability to lead projects through all phases, from design to startup, with excellent communication and teamwork skills. What's in it for me?
