About the
Role:
Lead and build the Quality organization for a new advanced manufacturing facility focused on mass-production, 3D-printed titanium components for a high-volume consumer electronics program. Own the site Quality Management System (QMS) and ensure production quality, metrology, metallurgical testing, and new product qualification activities meet rigorous customer and business requirements. Partner with operations, manufacturing engineering, and corporate Quality Engineering teams in a fast-paced Business Unit model. This position is based on-site in Devens, MA and supports a 24/7 continuous manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Build, lead, and mentor the site Quality organization, including quality control, metrology, metallurgical testing, and sustaining quality teams
  • Establish, deploy, and maintain an effective, scalable site Quality Management System for high-volume production
  • Ensure stable production quality through defect reduction, root cause analysis, process control, and customer-focused improvement
  • Lead new product qualification activities, including inspection development, CMM programming, GR&R studies, and process capability analysis
  • Develop and oversee metrology and specialized metallurgical testing capabilities for complex titanium components
  • Implement data-driven quality metrics, Statistical Process Control (SPC), and automated factory reporting systems
  • Monitor process performance, yield, scrap, and quality trends to identify opportunities for improvement
  • Support customer audits, technical reviews, and rapid resolution of quality issues
  • Partner with product Quality Engineering to connect product engineering requirements with site operations
  • Drive accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence to meet commercial launch timelines
Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of progressive manufacturing quality experience in high-volume manufacturing, such as consumer electronics, automotive, or similar industries
  • 5+ years of senior management experience building and leading multidisciplinary quality control, inspection, or laboratory teams
  • Expertise in product qualification, automated CMM workflows, GR&R studies, capability analysis, and advanced GD&T
  • Strong knowledge of physical metallurgy, destructive and nondestructive testing (NDT), and laboratory practices
  • Experience working with high-performance metals, especially titanium
  • Demonstrated ability to manage site operations and lead large teams within a matrixed or Business Unit organization
  • Bachelor?s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Preferred:
  • Experience building and scaling large factory quality organizations during rapid volume expansion
  • Experience with metal additive manufacturing, 3D printing, advanced precision surface finishing, or similar technologies
  • Certified Six Sigma Black Belt or Master Black Belt
  • Documented success leading large-scale continuous improvement projects in short-cycle consumer programs
Compensation:
  • Annual Salary Range:
    \$185,000.00
  • \$250,000.00
  • Actual compensation is based on skills, qualifications, and experience.
