    Role:
    VulcanForms is seeking a Senior Product Quality Engineer
    • Aerospace & Defense to manage quality systems, implement robust process controls, and drive continuous improvement across advanced manufacturing programs in Devens, MA.
    This role will serve as a key technical resource within the aerospace and defense business unit, managing product lifecycle quality from initial validation through steady-state production. The Senior Product Quality Engineer will collaborate with Development, Manufacturing, Process Engineering, and Machine Engineering teams to resolve complex quality issues, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the successful scaling of production.
    Key Responsibilities:
    • Support designated product lines as a core member of the Quality Engineering team
    • Manage product lifecycle quality from initial process validation through steady-state production
    • Execute comprehensive process validation and verification activities, including Installation Qualification, Operational Qualification, and Performance Qualification
    • Support New Product Introduction activities and existing production-line expansions
    • Independently investigate product non-conformances and lead Material Review Board activities
    • Develop, implement, and verify Corrective and Preventive Actions to eliminate systemic failure modes
    • Deploy and monitor Statistical Process Control frameworks
    • Track critical-to-quality metrics and support process capability improvement
    • Optimize metrology and testing protocols to strengthen product and process controls
    • Author, review, and approve critical quality-system documentation, including Design History Files, Device Master Records, and Device History Records
    • Maintain continuous audit readiness and ensure documentation meets applicable quality requirements
    • Partner with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, and Machine Engineering teams to implement proactive quality controls
    • Support design-for-manufacturability initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
    • Help ensure production scaling meets rigorous aerospace and defense quality standards
    Qualifications:
    • 4+ years of progressive Quality Engineering experience in a highly regulated advanced manufacturing environment
    • Strong preference for experience supporting aerospace and defense programs
    • Bachelor?s degree in Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical field preferred
    • Demonstrated expertise with First Article Inspection Reports
    • Experience conducting process capability studies
    • Proficiency with formal risk-management tools, including DFMEA and PFMEA
    • Hands-on experience working within an AS9100 or
    ISO 13485
    quality management system
    • Familiarity with metal alloys, metallurgy, precision machining, or metal additive manufacturing processes
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving, technical writing, and communication skills
    • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional engineering, manufacturing, and operations teams
    Annual Base Salary Range:
    \$96k
