Quality Engineer Overview Summary We are seeking a Quality Engineer to support manufacturing operations by ensuring product and process quality meet customer and regulatory requirements. In this role, you'll be responsible for driving root cause analysis, implementing corrective actions, and improving quality systems to reduce defects and enhance overall performance.Job Details Location:

Direct hire Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain quality standards, procedures, and systems to ensure compliance with customer and regulatory requirements. Lead root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action (CAPA) activities using structured problem-solving methods (e.g., 8D, DMAIC). Monitor and analyze quality metrics to identify trends and drive continuous improvement initiatives. Conduct internal audits, process audits, and support external and customer audits. Collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams to ensure quality is built into processes and product design. Review engineering drawings, specifications, and customer requirements for quality compliance. Support new product introductions (NPI) by developing quality plans, inspection methods, and validation processes (e.g., PPAP, FAI). Develop and implement inspection plans, control plans, and statistical process control (SPC) methods Investigate nonconformances, implement containment actions, and ensure timely resolution of quality issues. Partner with suppliers to resolve quality issues and monitor supplier performance Train and support production staff on quality standards and inspection practices. Maintain accurate documentation for quality activities, including NCRs, CAPAs, and audit findings Skills & Experience 5+ years of experience in a quality engineering role within a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment. Strong knowledge of quality tools and methodologies (SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, Root Cause Analysis). Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Experience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience with aerospace or regulated industry standards (e.g., AS9100). Familiarity with ERP/MES systems such as ProShop. Experience with SolidWorks or similar CAD software. Background in supplier quality or auditing. Work Environment Manufacturing environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts and moderate to loud noise levels. Occasional exposure to electrical hazards. Requires standing, walking, and occasional lifting up to 25 lbs. Use of PPE may be required depending on the work area.Similar remote jobs
