There could be some weeks where the individual might be there for 45 hours a week. They move quickly through the interview process and offer a full slate of benefits which are included, plus a solid base salary and quarterly bonus payout as well. This Quality Engineer will be responsible for leading day-to-day quality improvement initiatives and planning, coordinating, and implementing projects that enhance product quality, process efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Promote and follow all safety policies and PPE requirements Serve the customer by reviewing concerns, investigating nonconformances, and leading root cause and corrective action efforts Analyze internal and external quality issues and drive resolution Support continuous improvement of the Quality Management System and related processes Partner with engineering and operations to support new product launches Ensure products and processes meet internal standards and customer requirements Improve first article, in-process, and final inspection methods Develop and track key quality performance metrics Train and support personnel to reduce inspection defects and rework Implement statistical process monitoring and report quality trends Lead preparation and submission of First Article Inspection Reports (AS9102) Conduct internal audits and assist with customer and third-party audits (including NADCAP)

Qualifications:

Experience in Quality Engineering within a manufacturing environment Knowledge of inspection methods, measurement tools, and shop gaging Understanding of ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems Familiarity with AS9102 First Article requirements Ability to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions Experience with internal auditing Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer applications Ability to read and interpret blueprints and GD&T Working knowledge of 6S / lean workplace practices Knowledge of applicable industry standards and regulations Aerospace industry experience preferred ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) preferred Bachelor's degree in a related field or five plus years of experience in a similar environment Ability to lift up to 30 pounds as needed Must pass an annual vision exam If interested in this Westfield, MA based Quality Engineer opening, please contact JMT Staffing Solutions at 781-558-2589 or apply to this ad immediately and a staffing manager will be back in touch with more information.
