Job Description

Akkodis is seeking an Aftertreatment Validation Engineer for a Contract with a client in Allen Park, MI. This role focuses on validating low-emission powertrain and aftertreatment systems through comprehensive emissions testing, data analysis, and calibration optimization to ensure compliance with future regulatory standards.
Rate Range:
$40/Hour to $42/Hour; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.
Aftertreatment Validation Engineer Responsibilities include:
Plan, execute, and support engine and vehicle dynamometer testing to validate aftertreatment systems and low-emission technologies. Analyze emissions test data, perform post-processing, and provide data-driven recommendations to improve calibration performance. Identify, document, and communicate calibration or testing issues to technical teams for timely resolution. Develop, optimize, and validate emissions calibrations to meet SULEV30, ACCII, Tier 4, and other regulatory standards. Prepare technical reports, presentations, and documentation to effectively communicate test results, findings, and next steps. Coordinate test activities, manage test assets and records, and submit test requests to ensure program objectives and timelines are met.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in chemical engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline. Minimum 3 years of experience in emissions testing, emissions compliance, and internal combustion engine systems. Strong understanding of emissions regulations, certification processes, aftertreatment technologies, and calibration development for low-emission applications. Pay Details:
