We are seeking a Quality Engineer to join a dynamic Control Tower & Field Quality team supporting Transmission and Driveline systems. In this highly visible role, you will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and quality teams to identify, analyze, and resolve product quality concerns impacting customers and operations. This position is ideal for an experienced automotive engineer who enjoys problem-solving, cross-functional collaboration, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Facilitate cross-functional project meetings and coordinate communication among key stakeholders. Compile project status reports, meeting agendas, action items, and project documentation. Coordinate project schedules and maintain timelines across multiple initiatives. Identify and analyze system requirements and support project scope definition. Lead resolution of warranty-related issues, including root cause investigation, validation, and corrective actions. Drive problem-solving activities and provide weekly progress updates to leadership. Lead warranty claim triage activities, including claim review, sorting, and categorization. Review vehicles at dealership locations and support analysis activities. Support quality reviews with internal teams and suppliers at engineering and manufacturing facilities. Establish and validate containment actions and permanent corrective measures. Conduct on-site evaluations of product and process changes at supplier and manufacturing locations. Review quality metrics, control plans, and process documentation to ensure effectiveness. Utilize MS Excel, MS Project, Teamcenter, and engineering documentation to support quality activities.WHAT'S NEEDED?
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline from an accredited university. 5+ years of product engineering experience. 2+ years of experience in testing, validation, test method development, fixture design, instrumentation, and data acquisition. Knowledge of transmission and driveline systems and related components. Strong understanding of GD&T and detailed engineering drawings. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Project. Working knowledge of Teamcenter. Strong written, verbal, presentation, and communication skills. Proven ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams. Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in Engineering. Experience with quality-related metrics and reporting. Shainin RedX Black Belt certification. Green Belt and/or Kepner-Tregoe training. Design for Six Sigma experience. Project management experience.WHAT'S IN IT FOR ME?
