Warranty & Reliability Specialist - Automotive Quality Overview / Summary The Warranty & Reliability Specialist is responsible for leading and facilitating quality teams in identifying failures through warranty part return analysis, ensuring timely implementation of corrective actions, and supporting warranty recovery activities. The role requires experience managing cross-functional teams, broad knowledge of automotive engineering, manufacturing, and quality, and strong teamwork, interpersonal, and data-driven decision-making skills. The role will primarily support electrical modules, sensors, and wiring. Key Responsibilities Identify emerging field issues by analyzing warranty-returned material and data to understand failure modes and effects. Manage part return material activities for the electrical area to ensure returned material supports quality initiatives. Review supplier testing procedures to ensure accurate evaluation of returned material. Communicate effectively in meetings at all levels of the organization, including senior leadership. Establish internal and external partnerships and influence without direct authority. Represent the Voice of the Customer to platform teams. Work effectively in a team environment and demonstrate strong interpersonal skills. Take a self-motivated approach and challenge teams on quality-related matters. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field. A Business Technical or dual degree is acceptable, such as a Business Administration major with a minor in Automotive, Technology, or Engineering Technology. Ability to collect and synthesize data into meaningful information and communicate clearly at all levels of an organization. Self-directed and team-oriented with demonstrated planning and problem-solving skills. Experience and working knowledge of computer systems and software. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Strong technical and analytical problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications PowerPoint presentation skills. 5 years of experience in automotive quality, service, or engineering. Working knowledge of automotive data systems. Knowledge of data analytics tools such as Quantic or Palantir. Green Belt or Black Belt certification. Experience within a union environment.
