Professional Summary:
The main function of a quality engineer is to research and test the design, functionality and maintenance of products, equipment, systems and processes and develop quality standards. A typical quality engineer has the ability to read and interpret blueprints, and evaluate product integrity and standards.
Job Responsibilities:
Coordinates quality objectives with other departments Drives continuous improvement by developing and implementing error and mistake proofing Keeps management abreast of progress, developments and pending problems Drive issues to closure through the various quality feedback loops Analyzes assembly process data to look for trends or possible upcoming concerns. Works with Advanced Quality Tools (i.e., PFMEAs) to ensure a quality assembly process Keeps management abreast of progress, developments and pending problems Analyzes SPC data and works with manufacturing engineering to make process improvements Knowledge of GD&T and CMM operations Facilitate others in the executions of Quality Improvement activities To work in a plant environment, working hands-on with engine assembly
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in engineering required. 2-4 years experience required. SPC data analysis experience Advanced quality tool i.e.•PFMEAs Experience analyzing assembly process data Knowledge of GD&T and CMM operations Ability to read and interpret blueprints Knowledge of Prisma and a few tools for social media drawing•CG doc
