Yes - rotating weekend schedule Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Must Haves:
5+ years of quality engineering experience Background in manufacturing Proficient in root cause analysis Microsoft Office experience Strong written and oral communication skills

Automotive industry experience Engine assembly experience Supplier quality background (containment, break pointing, problem resolution for quality issues) Certified in Six Sigma or Shainin Red X Job Summary As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring product quality across engine assembly operations. You will leverage data-driven analysis and quality methodologies to identify defects, drive root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to improve overall product reliability and plant performance. This role requires strong technical acumen, problem-solving skills, and a focus on Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost. Key Responsibilities Analyze quality data (scrap, rework, warranty, and inspection results) to identify trends, defects, and improvement opportunities Lead root cause analysis (RCA) on quality issues using tools such as 5 Whys, Fishbone, and PFMEA Develop and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to eliminate recurring defects Support assembly operations to ensure processes meet quality standards and specifications Work closely with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to resolve in-process quality issues Review and validate process controls, work instructions, and inspection plans (control plans) Conduct audits (layered process audits, station audits) to ensure compliance with established quality standards Support launch activities and process changes to ensure quality requirements are met (PPAP, validation builds, run-offs) Monitor key quality metrics (IPPM, PPM, scrap rate, defects per unit) and report performance to plant leadership Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing variation, defects, and waste Assist in standardizing best practices across assembly operations Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards while promoting a culture of accountability and continuous improvement
Pay:
$40.00 - $46.00 per hour
