seeks a Sr. Staff Quality Engineer in Auburn Hills, MI to perform quality assurance tasks in projects from quotation to launch for automotive products, including technical compliance management, structured problem solving, lessons learned, ASPICE, and reporting. Define, plan, and manage quality assurance activities by identifying customer and internal quality requirements and deriving quality objectives. Act as the customer interface for all project quality related issues and manage and maintain APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning). Moderate and approve project engineering milestone reviews. Review and manage technical compliance towards the relevant accountable owner. Coach project teams on process adherence, quality methods, and activities. Conduct process adherence checks to identify compliance and areas for improvement. Support audits and assessments (IATF16949/VDA 6.3 internal/external). Provide methodology support for non-conformances (continuous improvement) and lead cross-functional task forces. Approve and track deviations of non-conformances during the design and product validation phases to closure. Escalate project/product related deviations and issues within the division quality organization. (Teleworking is permitted 2 days/week)
