Job Description

High impact opportunity for a hands-on Quality Engineer with an industry-leading manufacturer. This is an ideal role for a floor-centric quality professional seeking broad exposure across production, engineering, operations, and quality, with the opportunity to contribute across the manufacturing process and work directly with employees and leaders at every level of the organization. The right candidate will spend significant time in production supporting inspectors, technicians, and operators when quality issues arise, jumping in to troubleshoot problems, drive solutions at the source, and then follow up with the data and analysis to develop permanent corrective actions.
Responsibilities include:
Provide hands-on quality support across manufacturing, including troubleshooting, inspection support, nonconformance disposition, and corrective action. Lead root cause analysis and CAPA activities and partner with production and engineering to improve process capability, reduce defects, and support new products and process changes. Develop and maintain inspection standards, sampling plans, test methods, procedures, work instructions, and other QMS documentation. Support incoming, in-process, and final inspection, calibration activities, and quality training for operators and inspectors. Work cross-functionally with production, engineering, supply chain, customer service, suppliers, and customers to resolve quality issues and strengthen
ISO 9001
systems.
Requirements include:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent technical experience required. Quality, Lean, or Six Sigma certification(s) a plus. 3 to 5 years of quality engineering experience in a complex manufacturing environment required. Quality audit experience a plus. Strong knowledge of
ISO 9001
(or similar quality systems) and core quality tools, including SPC, FMEA, Control Plans, MSA/Gauge R&R, 8D, 5-Why, and Fishbone. Collaborative, hands-on approach with demonstrated ability to work directly on the production floor with operators, inspectors, and technicians. Experience with APQP, PPAP, electrical or electromechanical manufacturing, and UL, ANSI, NEMA, or IEEE standards is a plus. R&D quality support, NPD/New product launch experience a plus. Ability to travel approximately 10%.
Pay:
$70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
