Job Description

Job Title:
Commissioning Engineer Job Description The Commissioning Engineer IV is a senior-level role responsible for leading commissioning, re-commissioning, retro-commissioning, and energy audit projects. This position provides technical leadership, project oversight, and client engagement to ensure building systems perform in accordance with design intent and operational requirements. The individual serves as both a technical expert and project leader, while also contributing to business development efforts and mentoring junior staff. Responsibilities Lead and conduct commissioning, re/retro-commissioning, and building performance evaluations. Execute HVAC functional performance testing, including point verification and sequence validation. Develop and oversee testing for electrical, lighting, life safety, fire protection, and plumbing systems. Perform construction site inspections to verify MEP systems align with design specifications. Conduct and/or oversee Test & Balance (TAB) activities, particularly for retro-commissioning projects. Lead commissioning meetings, document action items, and coordinate with project stakeholders. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Saint Paul, MN.
