Full Job Description Position Description:

Our agile team of IC design engineers delivers trusted, cutting-edge technology to help you lead, innovate, and succeed. We are seeking a Validation Software Environment Engineer to develop and integrate, including register level control, hardware abstraction layers, and communication between microcontroller firmware and FPGA logic blocks. Additional support and enhancement of existing software infrastructure used across multiple silicon validation programs. This role focuses on test execution flows, automation, data pipelines, and web-based reporting tools that are critical to validation success. US Citizenship is required for this position due to our work in US government contracts. We are willing to consider remote or hybrid candidates. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain the Validation Software Environment (chip classes, test flows, result pipelines, shmooing, dashboards) Implement project-specific test flow integrations for new programs Support validation teams by troubleshooting environmental issues Improve and maintain documentation for onboarding and knowledge transfer Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure environment readiness Minimum Requirements Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field 2+ years of experience with Python in a production or engineering environment Hands-on experience with Linux systems Understanding & implementation of low level drivers for peripherals such as
GPIO, UART, SPI, I
²C, etc. Experience with databases (SQL or NoSQL) Familiarity with web development (FastAPI, Flask, Django, or similar; plus HTML/CSS/JavaScript) Demonstrate proficiency with electronic test and measurement equipment to validate designs, characterize system performance, and troubleshoot hardware level issues. Ability to read and understand technical documentation Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Effective communication and documentation abilities Preferred Qualifications Experience with PeakRDL/IP XACT or CSR generation tools Exposure to hardware validation or silicon bring-up Experience with CI/CD or automated test frameworks Familiarity with HDL environments (VHDL/Verilog) to understand FPGA behavior and collaborate with digital design team Work Environment The work environment for this role typically involves a combination of office-based activities and collaboration with the design teams. Occasional travel may be required for project meetings or customer engagements.
