Job Description
Apply Quality Engineer Greenwood, MS • Quality Apply Description The Quality Engineer ensures that products, services, and processes meet or exceed defined quality, safety, regulatory, and reliability standards. This role will develop, implement, and maintain quality systems; investigate deviations; drive continuous improvement; and collaborate across teams to support production, development, and design activities. Key Responsibilities Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance/control processes, policies, and standards. Monitor production / development processes to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications. Perform inspections, tests, audits (internal and supplier), and evaluations at various stages of production or product development. Identify, investigate, and resolve quality issues; conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventative actions (CAPA). Maintain and analyze quality data (defects, nonconformities, process capability, metrics), identify trends and propose improvements. Ensure compliance with relevant regulatory standards and industry's best practices . Review engineering designs, specifications, and processes to incorporate quality, inspect ability, and manufacturability into new products.
Develop and maintain documentation:
test protocols, inspection reports, procedure manuals, quality plans, risk assessments. Provide training and support to production / development / supplier teams on quality tools, procedures, and standards. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Six Sigma, process optimization, etc.). Requirements Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical or related field) or equivalent experience or related sciences (degree). Technical Skills Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS). Proficient in statistical methods, data analysis, process capability, SPC, FMEA, root cause analysis. Comfortable reading and interpreting engineering drawings/specifications. Familiarity with audit processes (internal, supplier, regulatory) and compliance. Skills Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills. Good communication (written & verbal); ability to clearly document issues and present findings. Attention to detail, high degree of accuracy. Ability to collaborate across functions (engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, etc.). Time management, ability to handle multiple tasks/priorities.
