Summary MS Companies is seeking a Quality Engineer for a 90-day contract assignment supporting a fast-paced automotive manufacturing operation in Shannon, MS. This position will play a key role in new product launch, customer quality, dimensional control, PPAP/APQP, process documentation, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of Quality Engineering experience, preferably within the automotive industry, along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with automotive interiors, plastics, injection/blow molding, or seat components is highly desirable. The successful candidate will be comfortable working with data and KPIs and communicating effectively with customers, suppliers, production, engineering, and management. Required Skills

2+ years of Quality Engineering experience

Automotive manufacturing experience

Experience with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, and Process Flow

Strong 8D, 5-Why, root-cause analysis, and corrective action experience

Strong Excel skills, including data manipulation, sorting, analysis, and reporting

Experience analyzing quality KPIs, PPM, inspection results, and process trends

Experience with dimensional inspection and capability studies

Strong communication and problem-solving skills

Preferred Skills

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Technology, or related discipline

Automotive interiors experience

Experience with seat components or seat-back panels

Plastics manufacturing experience

Injection molding or blow molding experience

SAP experience

CMM experience

Gage R&R and measurement systems experience

TS16949 / IATF 16949

Experience supporting new product launches

Supplier PPAP review and approval

Experience with GP12 and inline inspection processes

Customer-facing quality experience

Six Sigma / continuous improvement experience

Day-to-Day

Support new product launches, including pre-production builds and Job #1 activities

Monitor and analyze quality KPIs, PPM, inspection results, capability data, and customer concerns

Lead and support 8D, 5-Why, root-cause, and corrective-action activities

Perform dimensional capability studies, CMM inspection activities, and Gage R&R studies

Develop and maintain PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flows, and other quality documentation

Support GP12 and inline inspection activities and identify trends requiring corrective action

Work with production and engineering to establish process controls and resolve quality issues

Review supplier quality performance and PPAP submissions

Support customer requirements, audits, visits, concerns, and rejection resolution

Assist with training production personnel on quality standards and process requirements

Participate in launch meetings, identify open issues, and track corrective actions to closure

Support ongoing PPM reduction, customer satisfaction, process improvement, and quality-system development INDQSS2
