Job Description
CommScope's Building & Campus business delivers end‑to‑end enterprise networking infrastructure—structured copper and fiber cabling (SYSTIMAX®, NETCONNECT®, Uniprise®), powered fiber and automated infrastructure management (imVision®). It focuses on high bandwidth, longer distances, smarter visibility/monitoring, faster deployment and large‑venue coverage—enabling connected, secure environments across offices, campuses, universities, hospitals, airports and other venues. General Summary As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for Quality support of production operations in CommScope's North Carolina production facilities. You will work closely with other quality engineers, process engineering, operators, supervisors, project managers and external connectivity locations to maintain and improve external and internal quality, quality systems and manufacturing costs. Duties & Responsibilities Active participation on new product development, cost reduction projects assigned, overseeing adherence established quality and work standards. Supervision and development of quality technicians. Communicate with all levels of the organization regarding KPI's and corrective and preventive actions Complete and maintain quality deliverables such as control plans, test plans sampling justifications. Monitor MRB areas, expedite dispositions and lead root cause analysis of internal failures. Report, review and analyze customer complaints, using 8D methodology, identify repetitive issues, common root causes and trends to help drive reduction on overall complaints. Respond to both internal and external complaints. Analyze, investigate, document and report supplier issues. Review and analyze non-conformances to identify repetitive failure modes and trends by product family found during validation testing. Support special quality projects or initiatives as needed. Provide Engineering and preventive maintenance support for test equipment.
