Position Summary We are seeking a skilled Program Validation Specialist to support CNC programming and manufacturing operations. This role focuses on validating, simulating, and optimizing CNC programs before they are released to production. The position plays an important part in preventing machining errors, reducing downtime, improving program reliability, and supporting safe, efficient CNC operations. The successful candidate should have a strong technical foundation in CNC machining, G-code, tooling, machine setup, and manufacturing processes, along with the ability to partner effectively with CNC Programmers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Production teams.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Simulate, verify, and validate CNC programs using VERICUT before releasing them to the shop floor.
  • Detect, report, and document collisions, gouges, machine over-travel, tool interference, and other potential programming problems.
  • Confirm the accuracy of tooling, fixtures, work holding, stock material, machine configurations, and CNC programs.
  • Review and troubleshoot G-code/NC programs for accuracy and manufacturability.
  • Partner with CNC Programmers and Manufacturing Engineers to resolve machining and programming issues.
  • Develop and maintain VERICUT machine configurations, simulation models, tool libraries, and fixture data.
  • Assist with proving out new and revised CNC programs.
  • Evaluate machining processes and identify opportunities to shorten cycle times and improve machine utilization.
  • Support production-floor troubleshooting related to CNC programming and machining.
  • Confirm that programs are compatible with applicable CNC machines, controls, tooling, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Maintain accurate program revisions and supporting documentation according to engineering and quality procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with Programming, Engineering, Production, Quality, and Maintenance.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts related to safety, quality, productivity, and cost.
  • Comply with company safety, quality, and manufacturing standards.
  • Complete other related responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications Candidates should preferably have at least 3 years of experience in CNC programming, CNC machining, manufacturing engineering, and simulated-related work. Hands-on experience with CGTech VERICUT is strongly preferred. The role requires a solid understanding of CNC machining principles, G-code/NC programming, cutting tools, feeds and speeds, fixtures, and work holding. Experience with 3-axis and/or 5-axis CNC machining is also preferred. Knowledge of CNC controls is important, with Siemens controls experience considered a plus. Experience using Siemens NX/CAM or comparable CAM software is preferred. Candidates should also be able to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T; demonstrate strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability; analyze complex machining processes; and maintain a high level of accuracy and attention to detail. Effective communication with machinists, programmers, engineers, and production leadership is also essential. Education An associate degree or technical certification in CNC Machining, Manufacturing Technology, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline is preferred. An equivalent combination of relevant education and CNC or manufacturing experience will also be considered. Preferred Technical Background Preferred experience includes

simulation and verification, Siemens NX/CAM, Siemens 840D controls, 5-axis CNC machining, CNC program optimization, machine simulation and collision detection, tool library and machine configuration management, and experience in a manufacturing or precision machining environment.
